THE GREAT COOKING BONANZA
This is a digital cookbook that is made up of several different kinds of family recipes that were submitted by my peers. My goals for this project were to go beyond making a cookbook that is legible and straightforward and give the book some personality that would make fun to use and revisit. I decided to use a style throughout the book that is inspired by classic comics and pop art. I can't say that I wasn't influenced by the barrage of superhero movies at the time, but I do think that the style is fun and inviting. Since many of the people who are featured in this book are good friends of mine, I wanted to show off their characters and really give them a chance to shine in the limelight through illustrative portraits.
